For Sale: Orbit Ladyback 23"/21" 531

Reynolds 531 framed Orbit here for sale in Bristol. I used it for a few years ago to take my daughter across the city to primary school but it has been sitting unused in the shed for a couple of years now so needs a new home. I'm 6'2" and we used various tactics to evolve the fit for her changing size as she grew - seat clamp reversal, crank shorteners, various handlebar shapes. Parts recently replaced :

I put XT V-brakes (with Kool Stop salmon pads) on it with new Tektro levers on the drops that pull the right amount of cable for V's

It has an old drum brake which was  locked out of action so I reinstated it with a friction shifter but frankly never used it so took it off again! I will include the shifter in sale, plus the crank shortening bars I used to turn it into a kiddyback.

One thought for a future owner: the brake cable run to the rear is a bit long as it's a full piece of outer for the front section and this makes the rear brake return a little sluggish so a worthwhile modification might be the installation of some tube mounted stops for the front?

There is a rounded ding on the top tube I've pictured for full disclosure - not caused by a crash but a batton of falling wood in the shed unfortunately, but it has been there a long time with no change.

As you can see, it's quite an old bike - 18 speed indexed downtube shifters, but overall it's solid, great to ride and excellent speedy fun for the right pair of riders! We loved it and only teenage embarrasment on her part has left it up for sale...
