Insurance

Can anyone recommend an insurance company to insure our tandem, when looking on the insurance sites they only appear to cover solo bikes

We use Yellow Jersey to insure our tandem. It just requires top level lock and secure lockup over night. To extend standard uk cover to include France tour was just £12.

We are just looking at the minute and found insurers who will do Tandems via the MoneySupermarket site.

Also Bikmo do tandems and there is 10%discount if you are a CTC (Cycling UK) membership although they are not cheap.

It's sometimes cheaper to get them included on or added to your house insurance if you are with a company that will cover bikes at a reasonable rate. Worth enquiring

I've used Cycleplan - part of Ripe Insurance - for my tandem. Fortunately I haven't ever had to make a claim. They included EU too.

We use cycleplan for our moustache electric tandem
